Spent a few hours in the Crystal Mall on a Wednesday, and was so disappointed to see that Shanghai Dim Sum was closed for the day, my favorite XLB shop. Oh well, we ate some other delicious things, the standout was the shengjian bao, pan fried pork buns from Shanghai Fortune Cuisine. It was lined up and everyone in the rooms seemed to be eating them. Wow, they were good. Crispy on the bottom, tender on top, full of soup and pork. Delicious. Staff is friendly too! I think I found a new favorite.

Xiaolongbao is a must-try! Delicate thin skin on the outside, juicy and flavorful filling inside — one bite and you’re instantly hooked. You just can’t stop until you’re full! #Xiaolongbao #MustTry #FoodieFind

The food court at the Crystal Mall is one of the best places to have a quick, authentic and delicious Chinese meal. Most of the restaurants (food stalls) cook freshly to order. Shanghai Fortune Cuisine has top quality selection of dishes. Dumplings, steamed and pan fried buns, fried noodles and fried rice and many other Shanghainese favourites. Superb food and awesome experience at the Crystal Mall food court.

Their pan fried pork buns are amazing. Super crispy on the outside, soft inside and rich soup leaking out from the first bite. Was amazed each time I bit in. Their spicy and sour soup was alright, but it didn't impress me like the fried buns. Service was alright, the typical Chinese service where everything is rushed and fast at pace. It's found in a food court so there really is no atmosphere, and the tables are quite full depending on what time you visit. I definitely recommend the pan fried pork buns. Haven't tried the other options like the noodles, which I saw comments about it on google, but I think trying their combo soup and fried buns is a very good first time pick. Food: 4.5/5 Cleanliness: no problem with the food. Price: $ Comeback rate: 80%

Definitely try their stream dumpling, pan fried bun, and beef roll. Recommend the beef roll. The dumpling wraps are handmade (thicker), don't expect they look as look as those from DinTaiFung, but the taste is fine. There is great tasting soup in the dumplings. The buns also have soup and totally did not expect that. Oh, don't get the combo if you don't want MSG tofu soup.

Located in the food court of Crystal Mall, I have to say this is one of the best XLB you can get in Vancouver. They are consistently tasty and juicy. Its always made fresh when you order, so be prepared to wait. The girl at the til is very efficient and friendly. Being that they are so busy, don't expect any small talk. Try avoiding going during lunch hour. You can be searching for a clean table for awhile. Also be prepared to share a table with others.

It’s a perfect XLB soup dumpling, freshly steamed to order. They are juicy with seasoned meaty flavour, a thin skin, and bursting with soup inside. In our opinion, it’s better than the Shanghai Dimsum House nearby which is also pretty good. Their tofu soup is also light and nice with boiled dumpling water flavour in a good way. It’s not too salty and hydrating with no hint of MSG.

Solo weekend dinner, this has been my go to restaurant at Crystal mall for some time, their XLB, has always been on point, and the stir fried noodles are above average. Service was good, for a food court stall, very friendly staff.
